Type PT/SR are factory-terminated self regulating heating tapes designed to be a quick and easy installation Frost Protection Trace Heating system for short run pipework.
Type PT/SR heating tapes are made using self regulating heating tapes which adjust power output in relation to the ambient or pipe temperature. Due to the self regulating properties Type PT/SR heating tapes do not need temperature control and will not over heat even if overlapped.
PT/SR heating tapes are suitable for internal and external Freeze protection (as listed in Clause 1 BS EN 62395- 1:2006) for Industrial, Commercial and Domestic applications.
Notes & Warnings
- Current wiring regulations must be observed
- Isolate supply before removing thermal insulation
- A 30mA trip Residual Current Circuit Device (RCCB) or Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB) is recommended for use with heating tapes.
- Installation is the responsibility of the customer.
